Illinois Space Day (ISD) is an annual educational outreach event geared towards elementary and middle school students organized by the Illinois Space Society at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This event hopes to introduce and excite the next generation of scientist, mathematicians, and engineers to space and all of the opportunities that await them in the future. The society organizes Illinois Space Day yearly, in 2017 the event had a total attendance of over 200 people. ISD took place on October 7, 2017 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
